I have never had an a/c system in my house.
Well, I have used window a/c units if that counts, however I have never had a central a/c system.
I purchased a current apartment about three months ago, & I can say that I have never been so cheerful to have a/c. It is super nice & cool in my house, & the best part is that it is super nice & cool everywhere, don’t get me wrong, I am thankful that I at least had a/c in my other houses, but the window a/c units just did not do the trick. They helped cool the apartment down for sure, but it really was nothing like having a central a/c system. With a central a/c system, the entire apartment is cool, & there absolutely aren’t any warm areas in my house. When I used just the window a/c units, only the rooms that the units were really in were cool. The areas outside of those rooms would get quite warm periodically, & that was sort of a pain. I used to have one a/c in my study room & one in the residing room part of my house. The family room was almost typically warm though. It was absolutely frustrating. In my current apartment with the central a/c system, even the family room is nice & cool. I am just loving this current apartment of mine, & I am super blissful that I decided to go ahead & get it even though it was at the high end of my budget.
