Our house has never been very warm.
We have tried everything to keep it warm while just using the furnace to heat the house.
It is a nice furnace, and it is not very old, so we don’t really know why the house is never warm. We reinsuallted the house when we bought it because it is an older house, and it hardly had any insulation. Even though we reainsualted it, the heat still seems to escape somehow. My husband thinks that it may be because of the old windows in the house. Our next goal is to replace all of the windows in the house, but we have not gotten to that quite yet. We have almost all of the money saved up, so hopefully it will happen sometime soon. For the meantime, we decided to just go ahead and buy a few space heaters for a some of the main rooms in our house. We ended up buying three of them. We put one in the living room, one in my husband’s and my bedroom and one in the girls bedroom. We move the ones in the bedrooms downstairs during the day to help keep the kitchen and downstairs bathroom warmer. They honestly work very well. The house is so much warmer now that we have those space heaters. Our girls, who are three and six, love having the space heaters as well. They are constantly talking about them to their friends, and it is sort of hilarious. I am glad that we can keep the house a bit warmer now.
