I still remember watching the horror movie Friday the 13th when I was a teen.

It’s such a cool campy movie and they made so many sequels I can’t even count them on two hands.

I’m not really superstitious but when I was running my painting company back in the day I never would walk under a ladder. It may be a smart idea not to because someone could be working above and drop something and then your bad luck would start. I’ve seen air conditioning window units fall from the third floor of a building and come crashing down on the street. Luckily, nobody was walking below it or they would be toast, and that would be called an unlucky day. I am happy I don’t have those wall AC units in my house anymore, the central air conditioning unit is much more efficient and quiet. They have really got the HVAC technology down to a science and running the AC unit a lot on hot days doesn’t cost you so much anymore, if you have a newer unit that is. I am going to relax today and take it easy because I did a lot of work this week on the outside of the house and am pretty tired and sore. I may do some work on the temperature control for my smart thermostat because it is running too warm at night after setting it to a cooler temperature. I guess it is an energy saving program that changes the temperature in the middle of the night on the thermostat.

I got fed up with my dust dust sensitivities last month and went online to solve the problem. I ended up buying a whole home air cleaner and it was delivered this week. We are going to have it installed in a couple of hours and I should be in nice shape when I wake up tomorrow. We are waiting for the HVAC rep to arrive and his A/C tech neighbor to help him install it. They said it will be installed by the end of this week and they gave us a PPM meter to measure the air quality before and after they install it. I recognize we need to run it for an afternoon or so before we get a clear idea of how well it is working. I’ve never had one in my house before so this should be a nice test to see how well they clean the air and how much it improves my dust sensitivities. I run the central HVAC method with its HEPA filter but it doesn’t seem to get all of the dust from the air so hopefully this thing does. I would enjoy to ditch the flu symptom meds and not have to rely on them anymore as I’ve been doing for so several years. They said that the air cleaner has the best HEPA filter on the market and with its latest technology it will remove almost all of the contaminants in the air. I have a fireplace which I use occasionally and they said it would also help keep the air clean of smoke, so that is an added bonus.

I don’t know if I will be playing today because I am quite sore, but if I go down there later and people invite me to play I don’t think I will be able to say no. I am better served today resting and possibly talking to the local dealer, who lives next door to me, about tuning up our HVAC system next week. I may do some painting around the new home today and get that block mailbox painted so it matches the new paint job on the house. I may clean the HEPA filter today also but that is going to be about it as far as working is concerned, our body needs a break.

I plan on cleaning the whole cooling plus heating plan in a couple of weeks because it has been a long time since I’ve done it and I think it needs cleaning

I was bent over half of the day yesterday entirely working on the heat pump for our central heating component and my lower back this week is feeling it. I put some Biofreeze gel on it and popped an Aleve for pain, the two of them together should do the trick. If you have any kind of joint pain I request giving Biofreeze a try, it entirely helps block the pain and also heal up-to-date injuries better than ice. I was installing a geothermal heat pump yesterday to upgrade the old electric heat pump that was no longer working and it took me a lot longer than I expected. At least it is done now and the heat is entirely working great again, so now we will be ready when that cold winter weather comes back again in the fall. Right now it is the middle of summer and absolutely hot, however the heat will soon dissipate plus the cold will take its place and we will have wonderful temperature control in the house when that happens. I plan on cleaning the whole cooling plus heating plan in a couple of weeks because it has been a long time since I’ve done it and I think it needs cleaning. I think I will work on painting the mailbox today because I just painted the whole outside of the house and the block mailbox by the street now looks like the ugly duckling of the family. It’s hot out so I will take breaks and come inside to the cool air conditioner to cool off now and then.
