My husband and I both work from home. We also can’t share a bedroom. He snores and I am a light sleeper. I want heating at all times and he loves AC. I tend to sleep in and he gets up early. Sharing a bedroom was horrible for us. Nobody seemed to sleep and we argued about what was kept in the room. My husband works long hours at his desk and is on video calls. He didn’t want to have his bedroom shown in the video. He also likes a new space to do his work day i. I didn’t want to share an office with my bedroom either. This meant the two of us required four rooms in our five bedroom house. When we had our son, it was perfect. Our daughter was surprised that threw a monkey wrench into our plans. There was nowhere for her to go. My husband and I couldn’t share a space and neither of us wanted to lose our office. I did some looking online and found the best solution was getting a mobile office set up. It is a shipping container that is converted to be a usable space. There is a door that locks, window, electric, HVAC and plumbing. My husband originally said no to the container. So I made it my office. It is huge with its own private bathroom. I also am away from the hustle and bustle of the house. My husband is now super envious and dying to switch with me. I will be keeping my mobile office setup.
