I want to add our name to the long list of those who lost their jobs due to the pandemic.
I know just how hard that was.
There were a ton of people who I knew that ended up having to sell their homes because they could no longer afford paying for them. That’s not the case for me as I live in a condo with tepid, mediocre residential Heating plus Air Conditioning. I was ready for a new heating and cooling plan but it would have come with a new change of address. Still, I didn’t have an income and had to scramble in order to pay my bills. But occasionally out of what seems to be utter chaos comes just what you needed. I was free from the commercial Heating plus Air Conditioning of the office. And I decided to strike out on our own which is something I had wanted to do for a long time. I was particularly thinking about my new freedom and liberation as I was walking out of the commercial Heating plus Air Conditioning office for the final time. I did get some severance pay as I have been there for more than a decade. So I took that currency and started our own consulting business. To keep my overhead costs to a minimum, I started it in that apartment. That’s been various years now and I am stoked to report that I am a homeowner these afternoons. That’s how good the biz has turned out to be for me. While I have hired a few other people, all of us are still doing things remotely from the central air conditioner of our homes. It’s just so wonderful to be able to be our own boss now. It’s almost as wonderful as having such amazing residential Heating plus Air Conditioning.
