I’ve always dreaded having my HVAC system serviced, but my tension has been higher more recently. Unfortunately, I have to have my HVAC system serviced at least twice per year in order to keep it running efficiently and properly. If I forget to have my HVAC system serviced though, then I begin to worry about what could go wrong. My HVAC system isn’t old enough to fail on me, but it’s old enough to experience random issues or efficiency problems. This is why it’s essential for me to have my HVAC system serviced even though I dread it. The HVAC company is always wonderful about tuning the heat and air and making sure my HVAC system is running safely, but I have a lingering fear that something major is going to be wrong. I don’t have a problem paying for a general tune up twice per year, but paying for an unexpected repair is worse, especially in today’s market. Not only are general HVAC parts and equipment more difficult to get in stock, but the parts they do have are more expensive. This is why I’ve been doing everything I can to keep my HVAC system running optimally. I have a fear that something is going to break and I’m not going to be able to get it replaced for weeks. Or worse yet, the price is going to exceed what I can afford to pay. This irrational fear runs in a cycle where I dread hiring an HVAC company because I dread what they’re going to find. However, if I don’t hire an HVAC company then I have a fear that something terrible is going to happen, which leads me back to the HVAC company and the dread starts all over again.
