My partner Ed plus I have a routine when both of us perform routine inspections plus maintenance. One of us will deal with the customer, handle the paperwork, plus carry the tools, while the other 1 handles the actual work. I care about keeping my head buried in work, so I leave Ed to handle the purchaser relations. Ed has a way with people, plus has gotten really fantastic about up-selling them to a higher maintenance plan, last year Ed plus I were on a maintenance call to a home with a couple of easily big dogs. These were monster dogs! While I busied myself with the Heating and A/C inspection Ed tried to keep the dogs from messing with me. One of them bit Ed right on the hand. I canceled the Heating and A/C inspection, grabbed my tools, plus instantaneously drove Ed to the emergency room at the hospital. The next afternoon the purchaser called myself and others back plus had the nerve to ask when I would be coming by to finish the Heating and A/C inspection. I calmly told the purchaser that none of my Heating and A/C techs would ever come to her house. I was canceling her annual Heating and A/C maintenance plan, plus I might hire a lawyer to sue him for the medical bills, too. The lady claimed that Ed must have done something funny if the dogs bit him. That settled it, plus I started yelling at him! I told the lady that my Heating and A/C corporation would really be suing him in court for the medical bills, plus that personally I thought she deserved whatever she had coming to him!
