Happy with my elliptical

After considering all different types of machines, I chose an elliptical for my home gym.

There are very good reasons why this kind of equipment has gained popularity in the last few years.

Compared to other machines, an elliptical doesn’t take up any extra space. The operation is virtually silent, allowing me to workout at all hours of the day or night without bothering family members. The machine includes a convenient cup holder and spot to put my phone and bluetooth speaker. It features a very large touchscreen display that is easy to navigate. I can set the parameters of my workout according to duration, distance or calories burned. I can choose from a wide variety of preset programs in a wide variety of locations or watch television or a movie while I workout. I like that the elliptical avoids stress on my joints. Unlike running or jumping rope, there is no hard impact causing damage to my hips, knees, ankles or feet. My feet never lift off the pedals. The gliding motion is wonderfully smooth and beneficial. Plus, an elliptical is one of the few machines able to work both arms and legs. I have handles that I can pull on while simultaneously moving my feet. I can easily add resistance to increase the demands and calorie burn of the workout. I always get my heart pumping and lungs expanding and end up drenched with sweat by the end of the session. While the elliptical I chose was quite expensive, I am totally satisfied with the purchase. I feel it was far more worthwhile than buying a treadmill or stationary bike.
