How he is getting into real estate

My husband just read Rich Dad, Poor Dad and The Millionaire next door… Now he is all about real estate.

Now if you want to make a lot of money and keep it long term, you need to invest, but one of the easiest plus most consistent things to invest in is properties, actually rentals. My husband is constantly on the cell with a real estate agent talking about upcoming apartments for rent, real estate investing is all he wants to talk about in the evenings. He is all about getting a new apartment, renting it out plus then using that cash to buy the next one. I read the books too, so I see what his plan is. The snag is that my husband isn’t really nice at real estate. He doesn’t like to spend my savings at all. The real estate broker will send him properties plus frequently my husband will come up with a reason why he won’t buy them. One locale he lost because he miserable the seller of the condo so much. He kept offering super low amounts for their house. He’s upsetting the real estate agents by trying to make offers on the sly separate from them. I told my husband he really doesn’t have what it takes to go into real estate. I have thought about doing it. I want to have a steady income for the rest of my life. I have the cash to invest. I would want to hire out a property management service though. I wouldn’t want to deal with renters calling me afternoon in plus afternoon out. I don’t want to mow lawns, fix shower drains and listen to their issues either.
