When it comes to warm radiant floors I think they are undoubtedly nice plus totally awesome! I have a neighbor who has luxurious radiant floors so I had a chance to experience exactly what they are all about; however, luxurious radiant floors are not for me no matter how nice they are! The reason for this is because in order to have luxurious radiant floors you need to have wood or stone flooring with no carpet; I just care about my carpeting too much to get rid of it for anything… Plus I do not have wood or stone flooring.
It is all brick underneath my carpeting, so not only would I have to ditch my carpeting which I would never do, however even if I did it would require too much cost in construction to sit wood or stone flooring throughout my home. I will admire the luxurious radiant floors my neighbor has from afar, however I will never be getting luxurious radiant floors for my own home. They just are not for me because of the whole set up. They do not fit my beach house or my lifestyle… Then for me, I am blissful having a portable space gas furnace plus my central heating plus air conditioner plan component to take care of all my Winter heating needs, and with the portable space gas furnace I can still save money on energy costs like luxurious radiant floors do. I just use my portable space gas furnace along with my central heating plus air conditioner plan plus alternating between the 2 at odd times of the day plus it works out all the same!
