I had known our neighbor ever since two days after we moved into our new house. She was quite a character, and I soon realized she was quickly becoming my best friend. She told me if we needed an HVAC technician; she had the perfect HVAC technician in mind for us. She gave me a business card with his name and phone number and said he was just starting out as the owner of the newest HVAC company in the area. I took the card and thanked her for the information. Three weeks later, our air conditioning unit broke down and I called the HVAC company. Their response was quick, and I was very pleased with their work. I knew we were going to become good customers of theirs. He smiled and thanked me and said if there were any further problems with any part of the HVAC system, all we had to do was call. We used the HVAC company several times over the next year, but I still hadn’t figured out why we got that strange smile from the HVAC technician that first day. I asked my neighbor who the young man was? She told me the owner of the HVAC company was her son, but he didn’t want her telling everyone. He was afraid that people would use his company because they knew her, and not because he was an excellent HVAC technician.
