The entire time the two of us were growing up, our father was trying to convince our sibling that she was going to be an Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman when the two of us grew up.
I knew dad wanted one of her kids to take over the Heating and Air Conditioning contractor when she retired, however our sibling didn’t want to be an Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman.
She wanted to go to school and become a veterinarian. I walked up to dad and told him I would take over the Heating and Air Conditioning dealer, however she laughed. She said she wanted her contractor to read, & Son, and not & Daughter. I told our father she was a sexist and walked away from him. I didn’t talk to him for various days, and she didn’t notice. My sibling was still being harassed about becoming an Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman, and I told him to ignore dad. After graduation, I signed up for classes at the local university, however dad assumed I was going there for cosmetology, however she was wrong. I went to school to become a certified Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman. My sibling kept saying dad was going to be furious when she found out, however I didn’t care. She didn’t ask myself and others what I wanted to do, however assumed what I would do with our life. Had she said something about myself and others becoming an Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman, I would have blissfully said that was what I wanted to be. Instead, I went to Heating and Air Conditioning school, graduated with honors, and am now working for one of her greatest competitors. The only way I’ll ever toil for our dad is if she makes myself and others a working partner in the Heating and Air Conditioning dealer.
