The minute we walked into Pam’s apartment, I immediately felt that the indoor air quality was not good.
Pam had just moved into the country, and the culture shock she experienced was more than she had anticipated. I had five years of experience in the place, but now and then, I would come across something new. When I looked around the apartment, the first thing I noticed was that it had a mini-split air conditioner. I asked her if she had switched it in she said that she had no idea what was its purpose. I explained to her that it was for temperature control indoors. I showed her how to adjust the heating or cooling of the apartment through the thermostat. I had learned how to use it from a friend who has one because, in my house, I had a heat pump that I handled like a baby. The air conditioning tune-up was always timely, and now and then, I would ask the cooling expert to check the HVAC duct if there was a joint that needed duct sealing. I had recently changed to a new air conditioning service provider, and I loved their services. I recommend the HVAC business to Pam because she would need all the help she could get. The company also had a new contractor who was new to the place and likely understood Pam better. The other thing I discovered about Pam’s uni was that it had zone control, which I had always wished to have. I explained to her what it was all about and how she would use it to reduce the amount of energy used to heat or cool the big apartment. Pam was so impressed by how much I knew about HVAC she told me to take up a job as a cooling specialist.
