It was towards the end of the night when our AC machine exploded, or at least it sounded akin to an explosion.
For a brief moment when observing the AC condenser unit from a distance, I saw smoke followed by a hint of a flame, however I wasn’t particular if it genuinely was on fire… Still, I got my fire extinguisher and sprayed it to make sure there was no fire and I right away got on the phone with my local HVAC business; neighbors asked if both of us were alright and both of us were talking about what could have happened… When the HVAC professional arrived, she seemed legitimately cool and collected; she worked calmly checking all the affixions to the AC condenser unit.
She observed that it was jammed up pretty badly. She suspected the indoor HVAC unit would be similar and she was right, but even the air filter was jammed and I was embarrassed about that. She remained actually calm and didn’t talk to me rudely. She simply explained how the HVAC plan has to have a particular flow of air pressure to operate as it is meant to. She said if the airflow is blocked by a jammed air filter and a jammed condenser unit, you can expect trouble. She said this was what happened with my plan which overheated inevitably and it came to a violent end with smoking and sparks. She said the AC condenser had to be replaced which was overpriced, however she gave us some superb news. She said since she had the replacement unit already in her work truck, she wasn’t going to charge me for emergency services, which was a big relief!
