Our son was anxious to get out in the winter to view the stars through the telescope

My son has been bugging me through most of the winter asking when we were going to go out to observe the stars with the telescope.

We did try going out there in the winter, but it was so cold and I couldn’t wait to get back inside with the comfort from the gas furnace and the fireplace. He seemed to be alright out there so long as he was wearing numerous layers. I just felt so frosty though and it was hard for me to deal with. Lately, we were able to get out a few times to observe the stars, and some of the nights were still a bit too chilly for my taste. Then my wife got me something really nice, a pair of heater inserts for my coat. Now I am able to charge these heating systems and set the temperature control settings how I want. She got some for our son too so he can be just as warm as me when we are out there checking out the different stars and the craters on the moon. Honestly, I wish we would have gotten these heater inserts back when my son was bugging me about going out in the winter months. At least when we did go out in the winter, I would have been so much more comfortable. Our son is already looking forward to the warmer months, but he also looks forward to next winter so we can observe the stars while utilizing the heater inserts. He says the skies are usually brighter during the winters. I’m not sure if that’s true, but there were some very clear nights this past winter.
