My partner and I both work from home.
Both of us also can’t share a family room! He snores and I am a light sleeper, but i want heating at all times and he prefers AC.
I tend to sleep in and he gets up early. Sharing a family room was horrible for us; Nobody seemed to sleep and the two of us argued about what was kept in the room, my partner works long minutes at his desk and is on video calls. He didn’t want to have his family room shown in the video. He also prefers a new space to do his work day i. I didn’t want to share an office with our family room either. This meant the 2 of us required several rooms in our 5 family room house! When the two of us had our son, it was perfect, however our daughter was surprised that threw a monkey wrench into our plans! There was nowhere for her to go. My partner and I couldn’t share a space and neither of us wanted to lose our office. I did some looking online and found the best solution was getting a mobile office set up. It is a shipping basket that is converted to be a United Statesble space. There is a door that locks, window, electric, Heating and Air Conditioning and plumbing. My partner originally said no to the container. So I made it our office. It is crucial with its own private bathroom. I also am away from the hustle and bustle of the house. My partner is now super envious and dying to switch with me. I will be keeping our mobile office setup.
