The plan of having our folks transfer down here seemed love a no brainer.
And while I’m so ecstatic they aren’t dealing with a gas gas furnace and loads of snow, dad has been a handful.
He’s the sort that’s kind of accustomed to getting things the way she wants them. These days, much of dad’s day consists of resting inside the cooling system. He’s just not able to do the stuff she once did. And it can be entirely aggravating for him. So I do our best to be compassionate and understanding when it comes to getting him all riled up. But when it came to the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C component in her new arena, I had to get a bit aggressive. My mom’s been gone a while, leaving dad on her own. My sibling lived about 2 hours away and could get him if it was necessary. Wishing figured out that she absolutely needed myself and others down here. So both of us found a condo she could afford it’s just 10 hours from where I am. Moving to a region with a absolutely tepid Summer sort of through dad for a loop. And I had to sort of get him a custom to a higher temperature control setting in the Summer to keep the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling cost down. When she decided she was going to see if she can labor on the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit I had to step in. I pulled out the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C component warranty and both of us opted to go over it together. She heard myself and others state the warranty is void if anyone but a licensed Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional touches it; Dad values warranties so this easily got her attention.
