Last weekend I had a killer celebration, plus now I am paying the price for it.
I guess that it is always a small risk to have a important celebration.
When you have a small party of friends plus family, these worries don’t exist. But when strangers stroll through our home, I always do things love lock up our jewelry plus hide the pills in our medicine cabinet… just in case. I did all of this for the last celebration, despite the fact that I underestimated how shady people can be. I must say I am certainly stunned that someone had the nerve to steal our cooling system. My back study room was an add-on to the house, when I walled up a patio, so it is not attached to the main Heating plus Air Conditioning idea or any of the air ducts. I purchased a window mounted component for that room, which was the same room I used to store people’s coats plus purses for the celebration, and no a single reported any purses being stolen, however for some reason a no-good thief stole the cooling system right out of our window. I am not that exasperated about losing the component itself, because it only costs a couple hundred bucks to replace, plus I rarely use the room anyway. It is the fact that someone came into our house, enjoyed our hospitality, plus then had the nerve to steal the cooling system. I can only imagine that they were in such desperate need of cooling at lake house that they needed it more than I did.
