One thing I do not like is gas heaters and gas fireplaces.
Anything having to do with gas I will never put into my home.
This is because I do not trust gas. So many fatal accidents can happen from these. From fires to carbon monoxide poisoning. So when it comes to heaters, I go for anything that is electric or water based. Like portable space heaters, steam boilers and hot water boilers. Of course central heating and air conditioning systems are ok too. With fireplaces it would be only authentic real fireplaces or electric fireplaces. Never a gas fireplace. Although the blue flame is nice looking and all, it still scares me because it is gas! I will never have any gas in the place where I live. When I was renting houses back when, if it had a gas furnace or even a gas stove I would not rent the place. Today I have your simple basic central heating and air conditioning system that takes care of all my heating and cooling needs. I also have a smart thermostat which is very convenient. This is the best way to go for me in my opinion. I do not know how others may feel about gas heaters and gas fireplaces. But you will never catch me for even a million bucks messing with a gas furnace, gas heater or even a gas fireplace. Give me simple electricity any day. Sure electric heaters can cause fires just like anything else. But there is no carbon monoxide poisoning risk with anything electric. So that is where I stay!
