Why Can’t I install a HEPA air filter?

When Gus, the Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C tech told myself and others about the whole-apartment air purifier, the only thing I supposed was that it was a more current air filter.

Gus wanted myself and others to install a HEPA air filter instead of the improper paper air filter I had been using.

I told him that wasn’t what I wanted as well as asked if I couldn’t just put a HEPA air filter into our natural gas furnace as well as the AC unit. Gus told myself and others that installing a new HEPA air filter wasn’t that easy, unless you have a new Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C system, they didn’t build the old Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C systems to accept HEPA air filters. The HEPA air filter is thicker as well as has a heavier weave, which is why they can filter out a lot more dirt, dust, debris, allergens, as well as other toxic things that get in the air. She said an air filter can capture the mold spores, but they won’t kill them. That’s where the HEPA air filter comes in. They made our Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C system before people knew about the HEPA air filters. The prices are a lot higher, as well as all the people don’t want that expense. With a whole-apartment sized air purifier, you get the HEPA air filter, as well as an added UV light which will kill all the mold spores, mildew as well as other nasties that could escape into the air. I still needed to just put a HEPA air filter into our Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C system, but Gus wasn’t buying it, as well as I wasn’t buying her pitch to have a whole-apartment sized air purifier installed. Maybe I was being stubborn, but I had lived with all the nasty stuff in the air for all these years, as well as decided a whole-apartment sized air purifier wasn’t for me.
