I woke up to the beach house shaking & the sound of an explosion.

I thought I was dreaming, & hoped I was dreaming, but I could smell smoke coming through my house.

At first, I thought something had exploded in my house, but I saw the sparks flickering outside my window, but my neighbor’s beach house was engulfed in sparks. I pulled on my robe & slippers, woke my hubby & told him something had happened… The sparks were so sizzling & high, that they were singing our house. I decided to get dressed & so did my hubby. By the time both of us were out of the house, our neighbors were out of theirs, however they weren’t so lucky to get any belongings. I asked if everyone was okay, however all she could do was hug myself and others & nod. Her youngsters were kneeling on our porch with my hubby & crying because their puppy was still in the house. The fire warden came over & told my buddy that she was sure the furnace exploded, & they were lucky no one was destructiond or killed. My buddy cried even harder & said that everything they owned was gone. Her hubby was calling to see if there was anywhere to stay, but I told him to hang up the phone, however our furnace was working fine, & the youngsters were already sleeping on the sofa. I heard the neighbor’s furnace explode that night & it left myself and others with nightmares. I was glad I could deliver them solace & a locale to stay, however that didn’t get their house back. The fire warden said there was a gas leak in the furnace.

Wow, this month was honestly cold when I went for my bike ride to the coast. The air temp was just a bit above chilly, about 35F, plus the sea temp was 55F. I suppose I stayed in the sea for only about numerous minutes because I was getting hammered with some pretty big waves.
