I live in a climate where during the summer months it gets really hot, so how do I stay cold during the really hot summer months? The magic comes in the form of my air conditioning system.

• I don’t just have your average air conditioning system I have an air conditioning system and technically heating system too, with HVAC zone control.

If you don’t know what HVAC sound control is I’ll explain it to you. HVAC zone control is where you have your heating and AC system set up to where you can control your temperatures individually and each room of your house. When you use this if you have people that are coming over, they can stay in the guest room. It says the temperature is exactly what they want. Not everybody has the same temperature preferences and what’s hot to somebody may be cold to somebody else. Using this Heating and AC zone controlled system, you can set your temperature to exactly what you need and nothing more or less. When I had my aunt and her kids come over to stay for a little while, I let them stay in my guest room and she wouldn’t stop going on about how much she loved the fact that I had my own zone controlled Heating and cooling system. She loves that I had it set up for her. She said setting her own temperature was a really nice feature of my home. Even if I don’t have anyone coming over it works well for me as well, if I want one temperature and one room and a different one another one I can always do that.

In an attempt to save money, I bought the cheapest machine I could find.

The machine I bought was a HVAC machine, a wall mounted air conditioner to be exact.

I found it online, in used condition, but the person said it still worked and that was enough for me. I know that buying it without testing it was a risky idea, but I was hoping it would work. After multiple unsuccessful HVAC installation attempts, I had to accept that my idea was a failure, and that the wall mounted cooling unit did not work after all. I shoved the old A/C component in my attic and then sat on my couch to figure out what to do. There is no way I could go without heating and cooling forever, but I didn’t really want to spend a fortune on getting a new one either. Then I thought of something. What if I buy multiple portable cooling units? That would save me money, and I can still get the luxury of having cooling machines back. I checked around my area, and there is a HVAC store that sold those portable A/C devices. I decided that I was going to go there tomorrow and pick a few of them up. When I told my sister of the idea, she told me it would be more efficient to get a central A/C device, but I didn’t want to hear it. I would rather spend less money on HVAC equipment, they are already overpriced as it is.

I was going to have the same kind of A/C machine put in, a window A/C, but this time a brand new highly efficient one.

For the first year or so of living in this apartment, I had the pleasure of dealing with a malfunctioning heating and air conditioning unit. Although this apartment complex was supposed to have all new HVAC technology, their window air conditioner looked as old as I was. I was not impressed, but I still tried to make it work. The entire year was filled with different issues with the heating and A/C device. No matter how many times I tried to maintain or clean it, there was always some issue popping up. After a year, I was so fed up I just decided to get a new HVAC installation myself. I was going to have the same kind of A/C machine put in, a window A/C, but this time a brand new highly efficient one. The A/C technician installed it on the same day, and afterwards that was the last of my cooling issues for the next few years. When it was time for me to move out, since I paid for the cooling device, I was going to take it with me. My landlord however was not going to allow this, stating that it was their cooling device since it was on their property, but I still had the records and the warranty from having the machine installed, so I was able to prove otherwise, that it was in fact my unit after all. She eventually backed off, but not before leaving some nasty remarks, I was glad to move out of there.

My brother was an excellent HVAC technician.

• There wasn’t any repair he couldn’t make, and he always did wonderful work.

I heard no one complain about him, and when he moved, I got a lot of phone calls. Anyone who knew I was his sister wanted to know why he was no longer working as an HVAC technician. All I could tell them was that he had some place else to be. When he got married, he and his wife moved to her home state. He was now working in his own HVAC company and had a marvelous business. He wasn’t tired of working in our area, or as an HVAC technician. He had a better opportunity, and he took it. I missed my brother more than they did. He was my big brother and my friend. I tell people I am still working as an HVAC technician and I work in the same HVAC company. If they need someone, all they need to do is call and ask for me. I sometimes wonder if people don’t realize we were brothers. We’re twins, but we look nothing alike. I look like my mom’s side of the family, and my brother looks like my father. The only thing that makes us alike is our talent for HVAC. We went to school together, and we did all of our studies together. Where I was weak, he was strong, and vice versa. Between the two of us, we made an excellent team. I only wish we could have worked together longer. I would have loved to open an HVAC company with him.

I have team meetings once a week at our HVAC company.

All the HVAC technicians and the rest of the employees have a lunch meeting, on me. We have pizza, or some other take out food that sounds good to most of the people, and take orders from everyone else. We sit down and discuss the work orders that are sitting on the secretary’s desk and how we want to handle them. There was also a discussion about the HVAC website this past week. We had a customer call in and ask about a FAQs page. It had been so long since I looked at our HVAC website that I forgot we had one. I asked if anyone understood what a FAQs page was, and why we almost lost a customer over one. One of our guys is pretty computer savvy, and he said it was a Frequently Asked Questions page. It usually goes along with a do-it-yourself page. They help the homeowner do small repairs on their own. At the very least, they can learn to tell us what is wrong without a lot of noise making and hesitation. It makes the HVAC technician’s job easier. When I asked if anyone knew how to create these pages, the same guy raised his hand. He told me his sister was a website developer and he could ask for her help. He gave me her number and said he’d call for me, but she was already going to call him about the HVAC website.

I was on the phone with one of our HVAC customers last week. He told me he was looking at our website and he wanted to know where the FAQs page was? I wasn’t sure what a FAQs page was, and I said so. He said it was a frequently asked questions page, and he had a problem that could probably be answered on the page. I couldn’t understand why he just wouldn’t let us send out an HVAC technician to answer his question. He could also look at the HVAC system while he was there and make a repair if it was needed. The man told me he wanted to look up the question. Even if the HVAC technician drove into his driveway, it was going to cost him a service call, and that wasn’t cheap. He wanted to make sure what he had going on was something that really needed an HVAC technician to come to the house. I knew I sounded confused to him because I sounded confused to me. I knew he wanted to get out of paying an HVAC technician, but that would probably be the best way to have his question answered. I tried to talk him into having an HVAC technician come to the house, but he refused. He said he would call one when he needed one. Until that point came, he would figure it out on his own. He hung up before I could say anything more. I went to the owner and asked why we con’t have a FAQs page on our website. He looked at me oddly and told me he didn’t even know we had a website.

After talking to three different people about my furnace, I still didn’t have any idea what was wrong with it.

My wife kept telling me to call the HVAC company, but I didn’t want to have to pay for a diagnosis.

I knew what they were going to tell me. They were going to say that I had to buy a new furnace. When they were here to do the inspection and cleaning, I was told I needed a new furnace. I have been putting it off because I can’t afford a new furnace. My credit is shot, and I can’t afford to even ask the HVAC company to give me a payment plan. I was hoping I could find someone in my neighborhood who knew something about the furnace and could help me out. I’m wondering if people weren’t tiring of me asking for free help. I had to ask ten people before one of them would even come to the house. When I mentioned problems with the furnace, even he walked out, and he was my brother. He told me to quit squandering my money and take care of the house and my family. I didn’t think I squandered money. I worked, and I had the right to buy what I wanted with it. I spent a little too much on toys, but that isn’t a crime. When my wife asked me for money for groceries because the freezer was empty, I wondered if my brother wasn’t right. I needed a new furnace, and I needed to buy one. I called the HVAC company right after handing my debit card to my wife.

Last weekend was my son’s birthday and we had a party to celebrate.

The party was held on saturday. I was hoping for nice weather so we could be outside. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, dreary, and quite rainy. There was no way to have the party outside in those weather conditions so everyone was in the house. It was very chilly inside of the house so I turned on the furnace. As soon as I turned on the furnace, the house began to fill with a very mysterious and strange odor. I knew the odor had to be coming from the furnace. I told my wife that we should absolutely call one of the companies in the city that handle repairs on furnaces. I didn’t want to wait until the problem was bad. My wife suggested that we wait until all of our guests were gone so the party didn’t have to be interrupted. We waited until the last guest left and it was nearly dark before I had the chance to call someone for help. I had to call three guys that work on furnace repairs before I found someone that had available services. I had to pay an additional fee because it was after 5:00 p.m. on saturday. I didn’t mind paying the fee, but it would have been avoided if we would have simply called the furnace repair service earlier that day when we first noticed the furnace problem.
