For some reason, I’ve always had a tough time remembering to change the HVAC air filter.

Just seems like that one HVAC chore was always something that got by me.

The fact that I got the air filter changed at all was sort of surprising to be honest. And that goes back to my total ignorance when it comes to the heating and cooling in my house. Until recently, I just sort of took the heating and cooling in my house for granted. The HVAC equipment was new and it came with the house. I didn’t even have to choose it. That certainly went a long way toward my continuing ignorance when it came to the value of residential HVAC. I think I sort of had a bit of logic in my mind that a dirty HVAC air filter was not a good thing. So I did try to change the air filter. But that’s about as far as my HVAC consideration went. That all changed when I found out about the importance of indoor air quality and what it means to our health. I found out all about this as I was researching for ways to improve my respiratory health. I didn’t realize the indoor air quality had such a bearing on my respiratory help. Thankfully, I didn’t have to do all that much to really improve indoor air quality of my home. All I had to do was upgrade the HVAC air filter. I replaced the cheap paper air filters with a HEPA filter. This type of air filter removes more than 90 percent of contaminants and allergens from the air. Within a few days, the HEPA filter made a significant difference in my indoor air quality.

I have been knocked down plenty starting when I was just a kid, but I had some good parents who always helped me get back up and keep trying.

But I would not call myself exactly lucky. Fortunately, the beach will be coming home to our own central air conditioner when I finish work. But for me, I’m increasing to living in our parent’s basement, but this was the result of sizable school loans and a legitimately low paying, entry level job. I just couldn’t make our cash reserves stretch far enough to pay for an apartment; and it wasn’t all that much of another home with all the terrible HVAC and loud neighbors, and plus the place was not in a good section of town. I even tried to bring in a roommate. But even that would not help our budget. Thankfully, our parents have always been out there supporting me. They provided me the basement and our dad and I went about making it a good place to live. The very first thing we did was to install a ductless heat pump. There are no HVAC vents in the basement so I had to have some sort of residential HVAC. I was shocked that Dad and I were able to install the ductless heat pump ourselves. But it was easily not all that tough. I easily love the good quality heating and air that I get from the ductless heat pumps. It’s so nice to have a good place to land that also comes with good residential HVAC.

I just could not make our finances stretch far enough to pay for a real apartment, however and it wasn’t all that much of a home with all the awful heating and air conditioning plus loud neighbors; plus the arena was not in a wonderful section of town either. I even tried to bring in a roommate. But even that wouldn’t help our budget. Thankfully, our parents have always been out there supporting me. They really gave myself and others the basement plus our Mom plus I went about making it a wonderful arena to live. The first thing both of us did was to install a ductless heat pump. There are no heating and air conditioning vents in the basement so I had to have some sort of residential heating and air conditioning. I was genuinely shocked that Mom plus I were able to install the ductless heat pump ourselves. But it was particularly not all that tough. I particularly care about the wonderful quality heating plus air that I get from the ductless heat pumps. It’s so nice to have a wonderful arena to land that also comes with wonderful residential heating and also air conditioning.

My mother came into the apartment last week, plus she wasn’t glad; She saw someone had pushed the air conditioning unit off its pad, plus she wanted to think how it happened.

I couldn’t tell her that my best acquaintance had a motorcycle, plus I broke it.

I broke the motorcycle when I ran into the air conditioning unit plus pushed it off its pad. Mom finally looked at me plus said I looked like the guilty one. Instead of asking me if I broke the A/C unit, she asked if I could explain how I broke the A/C unit? I was all ready to provide her a long story plus throw in a few lies, but she was looking at me too intensely. I was sure she would think if I even deviated from the truth. I took a deep breath plus told her how I drove the motorcycle into the A/C unit, however I didn’t have time to finish. As soon as she heard the word motorcycle, she went ballistic. She had warned me not to even bring a motorcycle home. It wasn’t my motorcycle, which made her even angrier. She asked why I was on a motorcycle when I was only fifteen, plus whose motorcycle I was on? I tried to tell her, but she called my friend’s mom plus talked to her! Five hours later, he plus his mom were in my kitchen. His mom gave to let her kid spend money for half the destruction the motorcycle had caused. She also said the motorcycle was going to go away forever, plus my acquaintance was now miserable with me.

The entire time all of us were growing up, my father was trying to convince my brother that he was going to be an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman when all of us grew up. I knew dad wanted one of his youngsters to take over the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company when he retired, but my brother didn’t want to be an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman. He wanted to go to school plus become a veterinarian. I walked up to dad plus told him I would take over the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company, but he laughed. He said he wanted his company to read, & Son, plus not & Daughter. I told my father he was a sexist plus walked away from him. I didn’t talk to him for various afternoons, plus he didn’t notice. My brother was still being harassed about becoming an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman, plus I told him to ignore dad. After graduation, I signed up for classes at the local college; Dad assumed I was going there for cosmetology, but he was wrong. I went to school to become a certified Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman. My brother kept saying dad was going to be furious when he found out, however I didn’t care. He didn’t ask me what I wanted to do, but assumed what I would do with my life. Had he said something about me becoming an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman, I would have gladly said that was what I wanted to be. Instead, I went to Heating, Ventilation plus A/C school, graduated with honors, plus am now working for one of his biggest competitors. The only way I’ll ever work for my dad is if he makes me a working partner in the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company.

 

My brother didn’t want to be a HVAC worker

After my hubby plus I got married, I moved from my cabin plus into his home.

I had given the building owner my thirty afternoons’ notice, plus recommended I get my deposit back within thirty afternoons of my vacating. They sent the housing director over to inspect the cabin before I left, plus I had the paperwork that said everything was in nice condition. The people I was with and I were married for almost a year when I got a letter from that building owner. He was charging me for modern carpeting for the apartment, plus a modern temperature control. He said he had to replace all the carpeting in the apartment, plus I had broken the temperature control when trying to detach the lockbox. I had never been so glad to have pictures with dates. I still had the paperwork from the property director. I had pictures of the floors when I moved in plus when I moved out. I had pictures of a temperature control, without a lockbox, when I moved in plus when I moved out! Everything was noted in pictures plus in writing, that the cabin was in better shape when I left than when I moved in. I took the letter I gained about my paying for carpeting plus the temperature control, plus the lawyer laughed. He asked if I was going to school to be a lawyer, plus I said no. My hubby laughed when he said I missed my calling, however I didn’t need to spend money for the temperature control or the carpeting. I have never been happier to be anal about keeping paper trails.

After my husband & I got married, I moved from my house & into his home.

I had given the landlord my thirty mornings’ notice, & recommended I get my deposit back within thirty mornings of my vacating. They sent the housing supervisor over to inspect the house before I left, & I had the paperwork that said everything was in fantastic condition! We were married for almost a year when I got a letter from that landlord. He was charging me for new carpeting for the apartment, & a new thermostat. He said he had to replace all the carpeting in the apartment, & I had broken the thermostat when trying to unaffix the lockbox. I had never been so glad to have pictures with dates. I still had the paperwork from the property supervisor. I had pictures of the floors when I moved in & when I moved out. I had pictures of a thermostat, without a lockbox, when I moved in & when I moved out, then everything was noted in pictures & in writing, that the house was in better shape when I left than when I moved in. I took the letter I gained about my paying for carpeting & the thermostat, & the lawyer laughed. He asked if I was going to school to be a lawyer, & I said no! I got a letter from my landlord last week! He was suing me for repairs to the gas furnace… I could not figure out how he could make me pay for the Heating & A/C supplier.

I called them when the landlord refused to do so.

I went without heat for almost a week. I told the landlord he either called the Heating & A/C supplier & had the gas furnace repaired, or I was calling them. I put my rent in escrow so I didn’t spend it, & moved back with my parents until the Heating & A/C professional arrived. I got to mom’s & picked up the iPhone, and after getting in touch with the Heating & A/C supplier, I provided them the address & asked them to maintenance the gas furnace. The receptionist told me there was no planned maintenance call for that address. I explained I had notified the landlord in writing about writing a week earlier, despite the fact that he refused to do anything. The gas furnace would not work, & I would be at my parents’ house until the gas furnace was repaired. I took the letter to my Mom & asked if the landlord could sue me for the Heating & A/C bill? Mom had never heard of such a thing & called his lawyer. He asked me if I had anything in writing, & I said sure. I had an SMS from when I first notified the landlord that the gas furnace wasn’t working officially. I had the certified letter showing they delivered it, I said the money was in escrow & I was calling the Heating & A/C supplier. The landlord never accepted the letter. The lawyer said I didn’t need to pay, although I should look for another locale to rent, because this landlord was going to be nothing however trouble.

My girlfriend and I went to a concert and we arrived at the theater earlier than we anticipated.

We had to drive 4 hours and I thought we would hit rush hour traffic. I left an hour ahead of time and did not hit any traffic at all. We had plenty of time to spare before the beginning of the concert. We had an hour to kill because the theater wasn’t even ready. The guys were doing a sound check and setting up the instruments when we arrived. We were sitting outside for a couple of minutes and then we decided to take a walk around town. There were several places close by that seemed like interesting curio shops. We went into a place that sells antiques. They had lots of different and unique items. I fell in love with a broach that looks like a skeleton head, but it was $75 so I did not buy it. When we were done shopping, we headed back to the concert venue. By that time there was a line of people outside. Temperatures were starting to get chilly. It was in the 20s by the time the concert started. We had to wait outside a long time and I thought I was going to get frostbite or freeze to death. There was very little heat inside of the concert venue. By the end of the evening, I felt like I was frozen solid. I drove with the heater on high the whole way home and I didn’t care if that was a waste of gas or not.
