It truly is one of the many mysteries of the world!

I totally agree with this! This saying proved true when I first went to school to become a certified HVAC specialist. My first try, I failed the final exam, preventing me from getting my HVAC certification! Rather than give up, and ending up working in some store or call center, making minimum wage the rest of my life, I decided to reinvest my money. I took another shot at it. Well, the second time was the charm! I passed my final exam, and now I’m one of the top HVAC technicians in my area. I’m an independent specialist owning my own little HVAC company. Had I given up, this would never have happened. I would have ended up a bum on the street, to be honest. It was worth every penny to take the course twice. It just turned out that because they move so fast in HVAC school, I wasn’t able to keep up the first time. I needed longer to learn everything I needed to in order to get my vital HVAC certification. So, take this as a lesson, never give up at whatever you try to do. Even if you fail a few times. The next time, you’ll pass!

I had the most annoying issue with my smart thermostat recently -it kept falling off the wall! Everytime I walked past it, the smart thermostat was sitting on the floor instead of mounted, as it should have been, to the wall in the hallway.

I finally figured out why – the smart thermostat was loose on the mounting! I didn’t screw it in properly! What I am talking about is the metal holders it hooks on and mounts to.

So, I got my screwdrivers , and screwed those holders into where they should have been when I first installed the smart thermostat. This is exactly why I really should have called the local HVAC supplier to send out one of their technicians to install the smart thermostat! I did save a few dollars by doing it myself. But I just didn’t get it completely right. Now I have figured out why the smart thermostat was not mounted onto the wall in the hallway properly. It now sits comfortably and is no longer falling onto the ground every time I walk past it! Otherwise, my smart thermostat has worked perfectly. It has saved me a lot of money on energy use and made my life a lot less complex when running my central heating and cooling unit.

When i went to school, I learned everything about heating and cooling – enough to pass my final exam and get my certification. My first day on the job as a certified HVAC specialist working for a local supply company went smoothly! I was a natural; it all came together as if I was working on these systems for years! I could still benefit from learning more, but I know enough to be able to work in the field, fixing and installing central heating and air conditioning units. I am glad I did what I did and chose this work for myself. It’s what I had always wanted to do, deep down, with my life. And now that it is finally here, I care about the aspects of all of it. I will do well as a certified HVAC specialist.
