I’m amazed at the level of heating and cooling we have in the cabin now

When dad died, it was almost like a blur for like six months. And then, my mom passed before the first anniversary of dad passing. It was a tough, tough year for me. But I think it might have been even worse on my little brother. We held each other up but it was tough. One good thing we had was being able to leave the central air conditioning of our homes and meet at the cabin. This is a cabin far out into the woods that we’ve been going to since we were old enough to sit up. This was the favorite spot for mom and dad. It had been in my family for a couple of generations. It was totally rustic with only a pot bellied stove for heating and cooking. There was some rudimentary furniture and the most basic of beds. Once our folks were gone, the cabin and all that property became our equally. We started going up there more but found that our wives and kids just weren’t all that interested as it was so rustic. So my brother and I decided to upgrade the cabin. We started by installing a pair of ductless heat pumps for quality heating and air. Then we tackled the kitchen and updated it. Finally, we put in satellite wi-fi and bought all new furniture and beds. I’m so impressed with the ductless mini splits. My brother once worked as an HVAC technician so he was the one who suggested them. I’m amazed at the level of heating and cooling we have in the cabin now. These days, we are enjoying a full house at the cabin and that would make our parents really happy.

I don’t like change and never have.

But when it came to changing out the HVAC equipment, I have to say that it was a breeze.

As soon as the old heat pump turned twenty years old, I started worrying. If I could be a professionals worrier, I’d make a ton of money. I was worried that the consistent HVAC maintenance might not be enough. Since the HVAC unit was installed, I had gotten heating maintenance each Fall followed by an air conditioning tune in the Spring. Even though I had never suffered a moment’s loss of quality heating and air, I was still worrying once my heat pump turned twenty. After a couple of years, I was quizzing the HVAC technician after every HVAC maintenance appointment. I wanted to know how long I had and each time, the HVAC professional told me he’d tell me when the end was in sight. So then, I started a new savings account to accompany my worries. Finally, after 26 years, the HVAC technician finally told me that it was time to replace the HVAC equipment. I tried to hold it together because I was envisioning quite the hassle and stress with this change. But the HVAC contractor made it all so easy. He came out and presented several heating and cooling options to my wife and I. Since I already had saved up, all we had to do was pick our new residential HVAC and the HVAC professionals took care of every other detail. It was so easy so what was I worrying about?

It’s not over but I can sort of see the light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it’s snowed or iced in our region even well into April. So I’m not taking anything for granted. However, I can tell that the demand on the gas furnace is waning. That’s the part of the Winter that I love to see happen each year. But I have to say that this Winter has been so much more comfortable inside our home. And the heating costs have actually come down. Even though the utility company hiked the heating costs again this year, I saved almost 20 percent over last year when it came to heating. That is a significant savings for sure and I’m simply over the moon to be putting money back in my pocket. Usually at this time of year, I’m in full damage control mode to shore up the family budget after paying for all that heating. But thanks to the local HVAC company and just a bit of effort on my part, we enjoyed one of the most comfortable Winters ever and saved money. That’s the sort of double whammy that I love. All it took was for me to go online to get all the instruction I needed for winterizing my home. I replaced weather stripping and a couple of storm doors. I spent a couple of afternoons outside caulking and sealing any gap I could find on my house. There was some more insulation added to the attic and I finally found a heating leak due to improper insulation of one of our replacement windows. All of this didn’t take any sort of inordinate amount of time or energy. But wow, I can’t hardly believe these results from that effort.

I think that customer service is one of the best ways to ensure that a corporation will be successful. When clients are happy, they come back. It’s like that for multiple strange types of businesses. If you go to a restaurant or restaurant and you appreciate the food and the service, you are unquestionably likely to go back. If you go to the mechanic and he fixes your motorcar and it does not break down again, you are going to visit that mechanic again. The same exact thing is true when it comes to heating and A/C repair and upgrade work. I have been in the corporation for a long time. It’s crucial that our clients think that they are crucial, because they are. On the top of my website, I have a banner that says shopper satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. Not that many months ago I had to remind my crew that the customer is right and that they are the most crucial thing. I had a guy that has been here for 3 years and I had to terminate his employment. I’ve been talking to this girl for the past 3 months online. We tried to get-together for a date last month, but I ended up having to work late. I was supposed to drive 2 hours to meet her at a social celebration, but I ended up having to work late on a heating and cooling upgrade job. The girl wasn’t angry, but I knew that we were both disappointed. We tried to make plans again a couple of weeks ago. We were supposed to go to dinner and a movie. We stressed the dinner and a movie for Sunday night a month before, and I wasn’t supposed to be the business supplier on call for the heating and cooling business. One of my coworkers’ besties is pregnant and she was in labor so I decided to take over for the emergency repair calls. I could get a call at any time and so I told my girl that I wanted to meet but I could get called away. She said that we could meet at a locale that was downtown near the heating and cooling business. We had dinner at a pub. I had one carona and she had to. We talked for 2 hours. We could have talked for the entire night, but I ended up getting a repair call. She said she would wait at the bar for me to return, but I knew that there was no way I was going to return after I found out that the customer was having complications with the gas furnace. Those types of jobs can take a while and I didn’t want her to sit at the restaurant and wait for me all night after we had a good time.

Anytime a shopper has a complaint, I do my best to try to diffuse the situation and make the shopper happy.

85 or 90% of our clients would say that they have had a lovely experience. I think that is a lovely amount of people. That is nearly more than nine out of 10 people in agreement that our company provides excellent customer service and satisfaction. I make sure to tell all of the new employees that customer service is crucial to me. We do not argue with the shopper if they do not agree with a quote. We do not argue with a customer if they do not want to pay their bill. I handle all of those issues and the repair suppliers do not have to worry about anything except making the repairs and installing the heating or A/C equipment. I hired a new guy yesterday and I knew he talked a lot during the interview. That type of chatter can spell disaster sometimes, but he had a good resume and seemed to be unquestionably skilled and knowledgeable. After being on the job for only a week, I had to let go and terminate his employment with the heating and A/C company. The kid got into various fights with staff and one heated fight with a customer that will cost me a client. I hope that terminating the guy will keep the client happy. I do not want to lose their business over the new hire.

I have been working in the heating and A/C repair and upgrade industry for the past 25 years.

I have been with the same company for 15 of those years and recently I told my boss that I needed to start thinking about slowing down.

My doctor told me that I can’t work 50 or 60 hours a month and I should not continue working as physically hard as I do. The doctor was convinced that I was shortening my life by continuing to physically exert myself at the age of 50 years old. When I talked to my boss and the owner of the heating and cooling system repair and upgrade business, he told me that he could put me in a position in the office at a desk if I was ready. All I had to do was say the word and he was blissful to put me in a strange position. I talked with him about the pay and found out that I would make around the same amount of money and maybe even a little bit more. The office position was more like a sales position. I could talk to commercial and residential clients about the things that they need and try to sell them on heating and cooling equipment. I could reach out to new purchasers and work on shopper relations. I even got to continue using my company truck. It sounded like a dream come true. 2 weeks later I stopped working out in the field and I took the position in the office. I still get out of the office from time to time to talk to customers.

I definitely hate getting sick, because I can’t function when I have a sore throat, headaches, and a fever.

I can function when I have a cold, but the flu is definitely a different story.

Yesterday I ended up getting sick with the flu. It was going around the office and everyone was taking a turn getting sick. Nobody wears a mask anymore, so we have all given up on being safe. I felt like I was coming down with a sneeze or a sniffle in the afternoon and then when I woke up it was a full-blown attack. I had the chills and a fever. I was supposed to go to work, but I decided to stay home instead. I was angry and all I wanted to do was sleep, but unfortunately, the heating system in my house stopped working and I had to call the repair place to fix the problem. The guy got there quickly, but it took almost 3 hours to repair the heating system, but by the time he left, it was already night and I was feeling delirious. I didn’t want to go to sleep with the guy working on the heating system. I didn’t think a lot about the repair employer and it made me feel uncomfortable to pass out with a strange guy in my home. When he finally repaired the heating system and the temperature was warm and cozy in the apartment, I fell asleep in my bed and did not wake up until 4:00 in the morning. I missed 3 days of work that week.

My girlfriend and I broke up a couple of weeks ago and she took our pet and moved out of our home. Since then I have had a lot of trouble sleeping at night. I have tried a lot of strange sleep aids, and I even smoked pot one night. I got some weed from another repair guy at my job. Even marijuana didn’t help me sleep better. I had about 3 hours of sleep a few days in a row and I definitely needed to crash. When I finally fell asleep, I slept right through my alarm. I was running about 15 minutes late and I had to stop for gas before going to the heating and cooling repair corporation where I work. I was supposed to put gas in the heating and cooling repair corporation motorcar yesterday on my way home, but I was so sleepy that I didn’t think I had enough time to stop. I was upset that I was going to fall asleep on my way back to the house. When I stopped at the gas station in the afternoon, the line was at least a mile long. The gas station lowered their price by 15 cents that afternoon and they were the only place in the neighborhood with the lowest price on gas. I didn’t want to wait, but it’s also the only place in the neighborhood that will take the fleet card that I use for work. I was almost 45 minutes late for work. I told my boss that the reason was the line at the gas station and he never questioned me.

My coworkers and I had a coffee pot in the break room and everyone used to brew a pot in the afternoon.

We brewed 3 pots of coffee each afternoon.

There was one coffee pot for a while and then the office manager purchased one of those machines that can brew more than one pot of coffee at the same time. There were a couple of people that drank decaf and they were consistently complaining that there was never any fresh coffee. The break room had a couple of snack machines as well. One of the machines had strange flavors of soda like root beer, orange, sprite, and cola. We also had vending equipment that had strange snacks, such as popcorn, pretzels, chocolate bars, snack cakes, and gum. My coworkers and I were inside of the room one afternoon making coffee when hastily there was an unquestionably loud noise and a bunch of drywall fell right on top of us. There was a problem with the HVAC duct above the lights in the room and the HVAC duct fell through everything. The drywall, lights, and pieces of the HVAC duct and wood came tumbling down on top of my coworkers and I. I had a pretty sizable bruise on the back of my leg for almost 3 weeks. Luckily the company paid for me to take some time off work. They also paid for my coworkers to take some time off work as well while the construction crew fixed the HVAC duct complications. The entire floor of the building needed HVAC duct repairs. Everyone injured got a month of paid time off and everyone else only gained one week.

My coworkers and I are consistently playing tricks on each other, but one of the guys left a fish in the back of my truck and the inside of the work truck smelled for days, another guy let all of the air out of my tire and I had to spend an extra 5 hours pumping it back up before I could leave for an heating and air conditioning repair.

Something definitely silly and funny happened to me on Sunday.

I had no method that my coworkers were playing a trick on me. When I got home from work, it seemed like there was a strange sound in the house. I could not definitely figure out what the sound was, I investigated until I realized that that odd noise was coming from a section in my bedroom. The noise sounded strange and like nothing that I can remember hearing in the past. I ended up going into the attic so I could investigate the HVAC duct and the section upstairs. I carefully went into the attic with my flashlight. I split into the piece of HVAC duct and I found a bag of nickels inside. It was a small Ziploc bag with more than seven nickels. After I disaffixed the bag, I still heard an odd sound in the HVAC duct. This time it was coming from a strange area. I found another bag of 7 nickels. I was definitely and totally freaked out. I called one of my coworkers, but he told me that there must be ghosts in my house. I could hear someone laughing in the background. I do not know how the guys got into my house, but they were the ones who put the bags in the HVAC duct.
