I didn’t want to go without a/c.
- I’m not one of these people who puts my money ahead of my comfort.
When I first got a/c, my husband didn’t believe it was necessary, but he said the window a/c units worked well, plus they were cheaper. When they began dying one-by-one, he wanted to start replacing them. I told him it would be just as high-priced to replace every window a/c unit, as it was to get a central a/c unit. He didn’t suppose me, but he called the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C supplier plus had a specialist come to the house plus supply us a estimate for the central A/C unit. Once the a/c was installed, my husband was gleeful he had done it. He told me when this a/c unit died, we were going back to window a/c units. He wasn’t going through the hassle of having another Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system installed, plus he didn’t want to put that much money out. So, here it is fifteen years later, plus the a/c unit died. I called to make an appointment to have a specialist come to the house plus inspect the A/C unit. I told them I thought the a/c was dead, although I needed to make sure. I also mentioned my husband’s ideas on getting window a/c units if this one died. When the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C specialist arrived, I kept hoping it was just the temperature control. I even asked if he was sure it isn’t the temperature control, but he said it was the a/c unit that died.
