About a year ago I was living with a couple of friends out of a desperate situation… I did not have anywhere else to go so I wound up at their household like a homeless people pet one morning, then as such, I wasn’t in a position to complain about their home, their cleanliness, or their heating and cooling mishaps.
Several times during my stay there, we had issues with the bi-weekly bills and the central air quality control management system; There were a few chances when I woke up to find that there was entirely no a/c in the household in the middle of the summer… When I would ask them about the thermostat settings, they would nonchalantly reply that they had failed to spend money the energy bill that month.
In the summertime, I could generally get by with open windows and natural ventilation. And then, winter season came. The brutal outdoor air temperatures that we experience throughout winter season are nothing to sneeze at; You entirely need to have a central heating device to keep your family comfortable and safe, and unluckyly, they were no better about the Heating and A/C system in chilly weather than in warm temperatures! One morning, I woke up and found that there was entirely no heating in the house. They kept insisting that they had entirely paid the energy company this time, so we needed a professional Heating and A/C professional to come out and inspect the broken heating system. Of course, we could not get a heating and cooling professional at the household for at least 3 mornings. On the 4th morning, after the air quality control specialist arrived, we found out that the heating system had been nice all along. In fact, the pilot light had gone out. After mornings of ice chilly torture, we could have entirely fixed the central heating device ourselves. I entirely would have checked it if I had believed that they paid the energy bill.
