Old-school Air Conditioning isn’t for everyone.

A traditional furnace and central a/c was a thought, but Ed and I chose ductless Heating and Air Conditioning.

When I was a lot younger, I thought everyone used a furnace and window a/c units, or no a/c at all. I didn’t know there were unusual heating and a/c units back then. It wasn’t until I was in high college when I realized buildings other than major businesses, churches, and rich folks had central Heating and Air Conditioning. There were air ducts in the buildings and it delivered heating and a/c to every room in the building. Now that I am a little older, I am realizing that not everyone wants central a/c. A high amount of heating and a/c gets lost inside the air duct, and it is dusty. I’m not sure I would want central heating and a/c. I bought an older house that had a boiler. The heat is created with tepid air that flows through pipes. A small fan blows the heat off the pipes and through a floor radiator into the rooms. It is pretty warm, but the heat doesn’t consistently reach the ceiling. It cools before getting much past head high. There is no central a/c because there is no air duct. Once again I was relying on cheap window air conditioners for cooling; Last year, Ed and I had to replace our boiler. A traditional furnace and central a/c was a thought, but Ed and I chose ductless Heating and Air Conditioning. Ed and I didn’t have the cost of an air duct, and the heat and a/c came out of one unit, and it all went into the house. Ed and I love ductless Heating and Air Conditioning. It is cleaner to operate, more economical, and it needs far less servicing. I can’t imagine having better Heating and Air Conditioning that operates better or more cheaply than ductless Heating and Air Conditioning.
